Just bad wording, I took it as they'd let us know today at some point.
Hi Webby.
You quite clearly stated within the next 24 hours
You ever seen the TV series '24' could run and run this :chuckle
Not seen that but have seen Groundhog Day.

Why didn't they just say "we'll update your further tomorrow"?

Regardless I expect another "the most important update ever" later tonight.

If they announce more strike dates I can see it being the end of the CWU at RM.

An update can really only be either a deal to mull over or a continuation of talks….if strikes are announced find another job or take 6 months absence leave while u can

Probably gonna be left hanging with no real info once again at the end of another shitty week. Who cares anymore I guess, no outcome is going to be good for us. Either we get some version of that awful deal or we go on strike and probably achieve nothing. The truth is the union messed up before Christmas by not striking properly, I firmly believe had it even been the threat of a two week walk out leading into Christmas we might have got a half way acceptable deal. Instead we got the stop start 1 and 2 day strikes which was the worst strategy ever.
At this point I kind of hope RM goes into admin. At least that way some of the management might get culled. It’s all over, a 500 year old company destroyed within a decade of privatisation.

Not everyone works in an office with a strong union presence. Some people rely on these updates and it’s pretty low leaving ppl hanging on a weekend…….again
