Maybe after all this is over Red Len could compile a book of his fairy stories. I’d definitely buy it!

Rarely retort with juvenile click bait and willy waving contest But?

If an employee has the CAPABILITY to do the job description and declines to do that job to the best of His/Her ability, that becomes a PERFORMANCE issue and a conduct/disciplinary matter and subject to the conduct code that can cause dismissal.

You've moved the goalposts there Len.
Capability is nothing to do with declining to do the job to the best of their ability.

The NCI procedure stands for..

Non-Culpable Inefficiency.

The clue is in the name.

They would have no staff left if this line in the sand bollocks actually was true, utter tripe.

That might well be a policy decision, but I asked where it had been agreed with Collective bargaining and what agreement.

Royal Mail tries and implements many policy decisions without agreement

The publication also states that an employee's capability caused by laziness or misconduct is exempt from the procedure.

Goes to what I said previously

Will put it into Plain English

If an employee is being a Lazy Barsteward and not pull their weight then yes, they can be dismissed on performance and capability if no improvement is made. And my previous post was explicit in that an employee will be under a different process if they were under the DDA/Equality Act being a protected characteristic

Breadcrumb trail says it's RM HR and text excepts Parcel Force Worldwide so I'd say not, but meh I've lost the plot with it.

No Len.
That would not be capability.
They would be capable of doing the job to an acceptable standard, they would just be refusing to do the job to an acceptable standard.

That has nothing to do with capability or performance or workload or mail volumes or anything on this thread.
It would simply be refusing a reasonable request which is an entirely different thing.

Stop digging mate, you'll end up in Australia at this rate.
