More exec action in ours today.

Walks collapsed and just been told to take another 100+ calls of the affected duty, this on top of oversize going back to walks, did I mention the walks were already unachievable before all this

Madness.
our Dom/Com/bellend/arsehole, has put our new times up today. they are:-Monday..9.30-16.41
Tuesday..9.30-16.41
Wednesday..9.00-16.50
Thursday..9.00=16.50
Friday..9.30-16.41.
Saturday..8.30-15.41
so if the E/A is not pulled i can't see our rule 13 being denied with this type of change. where is the work/life balance in that? if we ARE denied carrying out local action, are they going to bring in the status quo? anyone who is ok with this type of change are easily pleased or s**t scared to do anything about it. no wonder we got a massive yes.
I said ages ago that I reckoned that with later start times that hours in DOs would be 09:00-17:00 and everyone said it would never happen, well looks like I was right
Bet you feel really smug- you sound it.
We're supposed to be all in this together.

DOs aren't the only ones getting their start and finish times changed. When the Network/Logistics changes take place in the Autumn it wouldn't surprise me if we all (both MCs and DOs) get our start and finish times changed again

can't see a deal being struck by tomorrow or Wednesday.
a deal.... don't you mean an agreement to stop executive action.

I don't see that either.... I'd put it at 3% chance that Royal Mail stop and reverse executive action.

We are going to be striking into 2024 with the way it's going.
Thought today was deadline for ea to stop.
Yep, that was my understanding from Dave's video the other day.

Days pass with members being screwed over in many offices.
Just announced on twitter negoiations continue pec meet tomorow will update by wedensday at latest.

I currently work 4 nights Monday to Thursday 37 hours, been told I've got to do 5 nights 37 hours . Not happy losing my Friday night off. I work in the mail centre.
Same at our MC,
All the 4 night week’ers (37hrs) had to go to 5 nights in the revision, more than half have ended up as supernumerary.

To daveyeff, what were your starting times before ?
Mon 6.50-14.50 Tues 6.30-14.30 Wed 6.20-15.00 Thurs 6.20-15.00 Fri 6.45-15.00 Sat 6.15-14.00.
Have they changed your attendance patterns as well? These times don't add up to a normal 37 hour week.
we are on 9 day fortnights. over a month it will average out at 37 hours per week. one week you work 5 days, the next week 4 days and so on.
9 day fortnights, surprised they haven't tried to piss you off anymore, they'll probably announce tomorrow that they're going as well.
Agree, really don't see 9 dayers surviving the onslaught. They culled ours 8 yrs ago.

Ours was culled a few years back. We only got them back at the last revision just a year ago..it was voted in by us....the Dom/Com/ shithouse wasn't too pleased and has tried everything in his power to get them taken back out.

He says he hates them cos they are a logistical nightmare to handle.....causes too many resources failures. Total gobshite. Truth be told.....it doesn't suit them.

9 bastard 30 is that some sort of piss take presumably just about the whole office is kicking off.
At least now people can take kids to school instead of pick them up. Joking aside it's the worst of both worlds, rush hr traffic to and from work, not enough time to do owt before or after work. What time do the PT start at!
They’ll be in at 8am to clear loops that were handed back the day before.

Do them first if you have to. Let's face it, nobody is finished before one now, so at some point you have to cut off and take them now don't you. Another waste of time, granted, but not a problem is it.

Only a few weeks ago the CWU were planning to strike on the 16th/17th February due to the Royal Mail imposing executive action by these un-agreed revisions. That strike was only called off because the union messed up

Since then, the main man facing a Select Committee has decided to enter the fray by meeting with big Dave, champion of the workers rights. He will likely have shown him that the Royal Mail accounts are now redder than our post vans and drastic action is needed otherwise we won't have any jobs left and Royal Mail will go out of business....

So I believe (imho) that we are heading towards a "sell out" agreement. That is, a below inflation pay rise in return for more work being 'forced' on us. The later starts and finishes may well be pushed in at a later date. Many postie's that are already out of pocket won't be ecstatic with this including me, but I'm also a realist. How else can we make this company profitable again?

My gut feeling is that some of the board members should resign given the handling of this dispute from turning a profitable company into one that is as they say is now losing over a million pounds a day. They will likely move on and find other companies to ruin.
The deal will be closer to what ST proposed months ago than anything the CWU came up with.
I think the CWU now know the financial ‘truth’ and are probably trying to compromise on the terms and conditions element rather than pay.
Wouldn’t surprise me, if now the parliamentary pantomime has ended, that ST comes out with more jaw dropping proposals that will probably be forced through before the CWU even get out of bed. Maybe even next week or so.

Problem now is that if the CWU offered its members a deal, even remotely close to what ST has offered, it would be rejected by these members but I don’t the CWU has much wiggle room now.

We will see….
Thompson will be history soon mate. The real negotiations are starting now. The only deal acceptable now is all enforced executive action reversed, the sick pay and redundancy policies back to where they were before Thompson poked his nose in, and a minimum 15% pay rise as we’re now approaching the 2023 pay deal date. Anything less and we carry on fighting. We won’t back away from our rights.
:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause
Round of applause all round if that gets through. Think 15% even over two yrs is living in cloud cuckoo land.
10% would be a result. In truth it’s the destruction of the job , e.g. later starting times that concerns me.
Slider tool. Lol.
