Has anybody had there meal break times changed ?

We try 20 mins indoors and then have some sort of stop outdoors, think they were trying to get you stopping at the same time, but that failed.Was different with job and finish but its tighter now,? just gotta make sure we take whats due to us, cant argue then.Didnt pt and ft have different allowances ?

We can still sign out, 20 mins early, people line up waiting for the minute we can go.

Same in DO but we've been warned once SISO goes fully live after the initial 6 months trial/bedding in we will have to scan out at the end of the shift, so basically most of us will be stood around for at least 20 mins just waiting to clock out!!

Anyone know when the 6 month trial is up? And does anyone really believe that they’re not collating all the current log out times for future use.

Where is stated we're in a 6 month trial? AFAIK it's gone live and that's it and of course they're collating log out times for future use,

Technology will be used to complement, inform, and enhance along with all other factors, the existing
resourcing processes, including manager, CWU rep and employee conversations.

Technology will replace outdated and inconsistent manual methods of information gathering and provide
the underlying insight to improve our current processes including resourcing.

Also a lot of people mention about taking breaks at the end and will this still be possible. In the FAQ's attached to LTB 285/21, the
response to this question is (and does anyone know what an MDS plan is?):

Rightly or wrongly some people have arrangements with their manager to
work through their break and finish their shifts early. How will this be
reflected on SISO and will their be any consequences for these people?

These arrangements should be reflected in the MDS plan and understood by both parties when reviewing the
collective hours at weekly resource meetings.

If I start at 6.45am, take a 20min break before going out, then instead of finishing at 2pm do another 2 & half hours overtime, am I entitled to another 20min break?

I think for that you would get an extra 10 minutes.

7 hours 1 minute to 8 hours 59 minutes – 40 minutes (or 20 + 20 minutes)
9 hours to 10 hours 59 minutes – 50 minutes (or 30 + 20 minutes)

It looks like it was agreed 20 years ago, but I can't see anywhere mentioning it was changed.

Our office does 20+20 for full timers, and just 20 for part timers (who usually do about 6 hours/day).

From that chart, all those part timers should have been getting 30 minutes per day. It'd be weird for a FT and a PT to be sharing a van and one to get a ten minutes longer lunch break.

Our office are now insisting we take our breaks or lose them. If you skip your break and go over, then you either lose it, or sit in the depot for 20 minutes to claim it.

I started part time, 24 hours a week, before I went full time and yes, it should be 30 minutes unless they worked less than 5 hours that day. You have been getting screwed.

Damn right! Why is a break needed 2 1/2 hrs into the duty then expected to go nearly 5hrs without one!

Pts in our mc start at 5pm break is 5-30pm till 6pm then work till 10pm.
