Same in DO but we've been warned once SISO goes fully live after the initial 6 months trial/bedding in we will have to scan out at the end of the shift, so basically most of us will be stood around for at least 20 mins just waiting to clock out!!

We have had a mini one, some rounds are now only just doable or just too big, so no chance of completing them when it gets busy again.pieoftheday wrote: ↑01 Feb 2023, 20:02Have you had a stupid revision yet?

Since everything's done through the PDA now (for better or worse), I'm surprised there isn't an option to officially mark yourself as on a break. But then that wouldn't allow them to willfully ignore the obvious.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑01 Feb 2023, 19:26Sounds like some offices are going to lose even more hours, when the higher ups add up all them 20mins across the office, as they'll just see it as people finishing 20mins early
The machine stops.

How about having your break half way round delivery? Now there's a novel thought

40 minutes when I'm hungry and need a rest, in the middle of delivery.

They can tell me when to take them, once there is 40 minutes in our day where I can just sit on my arse, read the paper, enjoy a nice cup of tea, and say, f**k you Royal Mail.

There's ALWAYS 40 mins in your day to do that. That's the point, it's your break! Don't fully understand what you were trying to say. Sounds like you mean you don't have time for it. If you don't mean that, my apologies, if you did mean that, more fool you.DirtyHarry wrote: ↑02 Feb 2023, 07:50They can tell me when to take them, once there is 40 minutes in our day where I can just sit on my arse, read the paper, enjoy a nice cup of tea, and say, f**k you Royal Mail.

Let's be clear, if you don't take your paid break, you'll end up having to work it for free. Just take it, it's not difficult.

How exactly are things worked? I work 32 hours per week as a floater, 4 x 8 hour days. But none of the duties i cover are 8 hours long, there's no duty in the office 8 hours long!

If you mean how are breaks worked then it goes by length of shift so you're due 40 minutes per day as your shift is between 7 hours 1 minute and 8 hours 59.
