Never signed this off at all, no idea where you get that from.

It was to be used in exceptional circumstances ie late arrival of the wagon etc and was never compulsory, we were asked years back and some did some didn't take up the 'offer' as it suited some back then.

You can't be made to work past your time as it stands. Period.

You do all realise in the real world that overtime is compulsory in most companies if they require it, its not an unusual or unreasonable request in 2023.

That’s not the same thing as being discussed here. Anyway, overtime is only compulsory if it is in your contract, otherwise you can just say no.
