You are correct he did say that. Now if I look at anything from HR I am classed as full time. I'm on 30 hrs. However when it comes to bonus payments I am classed as part time.

He was clearly trying to sneakily imply full time when the actual stats he is referring to is for permanent staff.

I wish his assertion of full time/permanent staff being 97% or whatever, had been dissected because just looking at one division, not one female member of staff is on 37 hours. If I was to do a quick male/female count across my office, I know that only a tiny minority of women will be 37 hours. That’s pretty disgraceful.

You could argue that it’s just done in order of seniority but for the fact that I inadvertently opened a can of worms when I discovered a male had been made up ahead of me. It transpired he’d been made up ahead of five women.

In my experience, women very rarely get made up to full time. It has historically been the strong male characters who have been given extra hours, the ones who wear basketball shorts and football socks without ever being challenged by management. They get the overtime ahead the women despite the majority of the women being really good grafters.

I've done over 27 years and in all my time the female managers have rarely supported and 'looked after' the women like they do the men.

Very much a masculine environment on the whole where I've worked.

I find it hard to believe that the official line today from RM is that they welcome the opportunity for ST to face the PC again, don't they realise how serious this could be of ST if he lies to them again? Then, just to rub it in, make a load of "truthful" statements about the pay review.

I don't understand why there was absolutely nothing in that grilling of Thompson in relation to cynical understaffing of offices, the dismantling of some rounds so they can be split up and added to existing rounds which will then become too big to complete therefore delaying mail further.

At least there was questioning in relation to that poster which shows the USO being disregarded, but there is so much more to the delaying of mail than just that poster.

He said that 97% of employees are full time.

If I hear the CEO of Argos say that then I assume, quite rightly and fairly, that 97 out of 100 of their employees get paid more than 35 hours money a week.
