Would be nice to have your round. You really saying you only have mail for one out of five or six houses? Really? .cornstar18 wrote: ↑13 Jan 2023, 04:53I don't think that call rate is that far from truth! Whether it's striking, economy, self sabotage by the company or all three; mail volumes are WAY down, and there will be consequences of that.

Just use common sense and do the job exactly how RM have designed. Start on time, take 40 minutes of break time, use the trolleys as they say, deliver the say 50+ oversize somehow - every day. We know most duties can't be done in the time allowed, go on add another 600 houses on top. Lack of staff, no one walk sorting letters, flats, admittedly I see ghosting on occasions - that is management's fault. Fully expect clowns to keep running around, carrying overweight bags, coming in early, not taking breaks etc. Just give up, stress levels

Exactly this.toonshola wrote: ↑12 Jan 2023, 19:35I actually feel a little bit sorry for these types of managers. Imagine being that pathetic to message the ceo trying to suck up to him and show him what a good little bullying narcissist you are. One of the big things about this dispute which doesn’t get enough attention is how Royal Mail want to use pda data to monitor and conduct staff. We cannot let these empty company drones loose with that kind of power.

This is all very 1984 george orwell on me in the power we invest in them is turned back on us all perhaps the truth about productivity in essence is a defection tactic. Ie the people at the top are leaching off the poor and using them as a distraction ie striking workers the poor and migrants and still they come for more.

Either that's the wrong terminology that the staff are using to say they will work correctly or the manager is is telling porkies to direct all the blame at the staff for failures in the office.
I can't see anyone in their right mind telling a manager they are going to "slow down", it's leaving themselves wide open for pressure tactics from management.

Because they know the duty will be proven to be unachievable. They are hell bent on pushing delivery staff to do impossible workloads but at the same time pay more for an agency worker to bring back half a duty with no come back!
