It includes all supplements you are paid too, pro rata of course.redrobbo wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 22:03Just looking at previous wage slips and the deductions from previous strike days can anyone please explain why the hourly rate we are being deducted is ranging between £13.66 to £13.84 when we are on £12.62 per HR for working 37hrs for example if 14.50 hrs is deducted should it be £182.99 not the £198.14 which was deducted from the last strike dates

Re: Annualised hours
You realise if we stopped paying our subs for two or three months the union will collapse and everything Royal Mail want will happen? I'd love all those things you say to happen, plus the walks to be made smaller and a return to job and knock so we can all be back in bed by 10am Saturday mornings but it ain't gonna happen.neviboss wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 20:41Dave Ward will quite happily collect his 100k+ salary, no matter what s*-t he shovels our way, if we all stop paying our union dues for 2 or 3 months, he might actuallylisten to what we want.
In fact every RM CWU member should give then a list of 5 things we want in the deal!
Mine would be:-
1. No later starts.
2 No annualised hours.
3. A decent pay deal backdated.
4. Overtime at a decent rate more than normal pay.
5. Sundays optional.

No you don't. If you sign an SA contract to do 6 days, you loose your paid meal relief but otherwise you get the same as any other day.Mick100 wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 23:58Why work your day off you get paid £25 lessheraldmoth wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 18:36Sounds good on paper but how do they encourage people to work a day off? it’s pie in the sky

As far as I understand it, you will only be finished an hour later in the winter, if you have been letting them know you are finishing an hour early in the summer, by signing out on the pda an hour early.
What that translates to me is: come back on time. Then you won’t be hit by annualised hours.

Ofcom won't do anything ,run by the government who dont care for the people.norris9 wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 20:10So they have added customer collections, added taking photos of all tracked parcels on door step and now adding around 17 mins of other rounds....
Something like that is not going to work in our office......more delayed mail. Once a deal is made Royal Mail have no rocks to hide under from Ofcom. Fines galore will come.
Can Ofcom invite themselves to any office at any time to check up on Royal Mail's performance? I'll happily give them the heads up to come to our office if we remain ridiculously understaffed.

Re: Annualised hours
How do you "come back on time" if you don't have the work to justify it?
Have we lost £1000+ to protect people who want to string it out and walk slower?
I thought trade unions were about doing a fair day's work for a fair day's pay?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

That is not how they intend to use annualised hours.Barnacle wrote: ↑08 Jan 2023, 06:09As far as I understand it, you will only be finished an hour later in the winter, if you have been letting them know you are finishing an hour early in the summer, by signing out on the pda an hour early.

Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

Re: Annualised hours
The amount of people that don’t take breaks , don’t use the correct procedures or equipment this saving Royal Mail thousands of hours a week massively outstrips anyone “stringing it out”clashcityrocker wrote: ↑08 Jan 2023, 09:22How do you "come back on time" if you don't have the work to justify it?

How many walks are there where the walk is meant to use a golf cart type trolley but they don't? How much time difference does that typically make?Pidleypoo wrote: ↑08 Jan 2023, 09:39The amount of people that don’t take breaks , don’t use the correct procedures or equipment this saving Royal Mail thousands of hours a week massively outstrips anyone “stringing it out”clashcityrocker wrote: ↑08 Jan 2023, 09:22How do you "come back on time" if you don't have the work to justify it?
