End of bullet point 3 of Simons latest letter to the CWU regarding revisions

I’ll reword it if I may. We will have a little chat with you over tea and biscuits and at the end of it you don’t agree then we will just do it anyway. Shows how desperate and weak the union now is agreeing to talks on the back of that.

Almost certainly there will be a wide selection of biscuits.
Bourbons, milk chocolate and dark chocolate digestives, custard creams, ginger snaps and garibaldis.
That list is not supposed to be exhaustive and special dietary requirements (sugar free and vegan) will be catered for.

Is is quite obvious that the CWU bog shots took an extended xmas holiday.

They may well have left some low level negotiators thrashing out the framework for the ACAS talks but you just know they took this week off as xmas holiday.

So I take that after 3 more weeks of talks the only thing to come out of it, is that 2 more allowances that hardly anyone has heard of are now not going to be pulled.

No progress.CWU say no worthwhile offer to put to members.The strikes will continue after the ballot.This has been so badly managed you just cant back down to these people.They are treating staff very badly with no justification.Its all about "breaking the union."As we, their staff are the union,thanks a lot Royal Mail, but we are not going away.They could easily have took the staff with them on these changes,A decent offer back in April when inflation was lower,would have been accepted for most of the changes they wanted, but no, they decided to go to war with their own people. Trouble is i cant see the agenda changing even when Thompson has to go.

The main reason I'm voting yes has to do with new entrants on less pay, more hours, no meal relief and worse terms and conditions. By this alone you can see the direction of the company.
When you have a few years in, you have to start looking after those less senior.

both. The latter isn't working, so at least we essentially get more 'annual leave', albeit unpaid. Gives me extra time to rest my decrepit body.

Fully agree. The job is tiring , so any rest is a good rest. Keep the fight going and vote yes. We have to keep the pressure on.

What concerns me is our Trade Union doesn't seem to be bringing this up anymore.
