If you read the agreement on the no strike clause it does say industrial unrest would nullify it.

No union has agreed to change and modernisation more than the CWU . We had agreements in place like " The Pathway to Change'. Proper agreements for change and modernisation which Royal Mail simply tore up .

The crux of the argument that will not go away is "did we/the Union break this agreement by taking industrial action when we swore not to?"
Were the Union solely instrumental in triggering this whole sorry episode of industrial strife by breaking their promise In this agreement.
Was the 2% rise part of the last agreement the Union signed?

This subject of breaking a no strike clause really needs to be brought to the surface and discussed.
It brings into question strong words like trust and faith.

For heaven sake !!! What do you want, do you want Dave Ward to turn up at every office thats having executive action forced on them and start shouting the odds, I'll say one more time, if you have changes force through at your office, those changes must work, if they are unachievable then they will FAIL, and I'll tell you where the union is it's in those offices, its the postman and women doing their job properly as they suppose to be done, not coming in early, meal brakes, not running around like a lunatic, etc etc etc, the union is just that getting together with your colleagues, if there's no rep become one, if you're not the sorta person who could be a rep, get in touch with your area rep they will advise you can in touch on your mobile, in my experience area reps want to help but at some point individuals need to stand up and back eachother that's how a union works, its not dave ward or the postal executive, its us backing the union just means standing 95000 other postman and postwomen and doing your jobs properly and trust me that will help win this dispute and get us a deal which if we the members don't like we will throw out
