CWU have just confirmed that RM have rejected the offer

I’m genuinely shocked at that as it seemed to be calling them off and asking for pretty much nothing in return

I think it confirms that RM don't want any sort of decent settlement and they're prepared to take the financial loss to try and force their agenda through.
The union really need to announce more strike days as soon as possible.

Yet again continued attacks on Angard workers.

This is the reason why even as union members, they are crossing picket lines and cancelling membership of the CWU. They feel they are being stabbed in the back. The CWU need their support to win this dispute.

Even the Royal Mail contracted Christmas Casuals are being kept on after Christmas.
It is like fighting with one hand tied behind your back trying to convince Angard workers to change their minds and not cross picket lines, but can you blame them?

A work to rule is an attractive idea, but would be intolerable for many part-timers who have done full time hours for years. It's also problematic in other ways.

We don't know that strikes aren't working. I'm not convinced myself that the one days strikes amounted to a hill of beans, but the two dayers have caused huge delays.

If we cave in then ST wins. If we don't cave in, maybe he wins anyway. It's not a great situation. The only thing we can really be sure of is that ST will say anything that he feels will help serve his agenda and cannot be trusted to do anything he promises to.

I've seen 5 people get asked if they want to work their day off this week and all were like 'F that!!!'.

Even though we've had all these strike dates this month. No signs at my mail centre of people breaking. I am a part timer and I can deal with the strikes just fine.

It's actually nice to have some time off. Walking 10 miles everyday isn't good for you.

Sounds a bit desperate from the p e c. I think Royal Mail will start implementing their new terms after Xmas which is perhaps why the union have thrown the dice. I really hope there is a compromise but it’s not looking good.

From RMs persepective why would they settle now? The damage has already been done and they are close to christmas being over. Joint statements are not worth anything .They are close to christmas pressure being over and getting their own way. Why would they cave now an then deal with the union again in october instead of just marching on. This is utterly depressing and looks like a union white flag

There is no alternative. It's like a broken record listening to the same people say that the strikes aren't working. Of course they are, they're the only thing holding this entire attack, on our job security and terms, back.
