Further to the update this afternoon, we can confirm that within hours of receiving our letter, Royal Mail Group have rejected our attempt to resolve the dispute.

The strikes planned for 23/24 December will go ahead.

They aren't going to call strikes off when they have non ops staff clearing offices using there own cars and the vr cut off date is soon and they want people gone

Do they want owner-driver mail/letter deliveries?

Do they want all 100,000+ Posties gone and replaced.

There is plenty of media attention and Royal Mail have written to the CWU twice over the last few days asking us to call off the strikes without any pre conditions.

Instead we listed the conditions if Royal Mail agreed would make us consider standing down the strikes. They cover all the main principles of the strike. It is no surprise that they have rejected them but now they will be under pressure from the media especially due to 1.7 billion fund they have and son can afford the deal.

Remember there has to be an agreement in the end and Royal Mail know they cannot introduce their revision plan or their financial recovery plan.

Norris they threatened to sue the telegraph for printing the figure.

They have revealed that they can afford the back bay and to change their pans but this is about smashing the union in order to have free reign to lower members terms and conditions.

I.E: We're not really worried about you lot continuing to Strike because we've got £1.7 BILLION .... So we're not suffering at all!
