I was wondering what card RM would play next & they have combated the unions threat of new year strike's with pushing through their change's.

The union look powerless here. Unless they can legally challenge RM pushing through change's then any further striking after Christmas is looking worthless because RM would have already done what we were fighting against.

Only other thing we would be striking for would be a pay rise but would it be worth it with the money being lost through striking?

You cant stop executive action, but we are balloting again in January so lets get a massive yes vote,be prepared for a 3 day week get your childcare sorted sooner rather than later, its going to be a long year, but eventually they will have to choose see it our way or carry on losing a shitload of money.

That doesn't bother them they have broken all the agreements already, they are going down their own road lets not buckle and follow them,if they dont take the workforce with them and we stand by our union the company will never prosper and become the sickman of deliveries.

28 days notice required by law I think

In all honesty by now everybody should be doing the job correctly anyway and without the staff onboard their plans are doomed.
Exactly what prescribed contractual terms are Royal Mail breaching to justify a 28 day notice period?
your agreed start and finish time between the r/m and the cwu :evil/mad

Your contract of employment does not state a start and finish time. Those are negotiated through collective bargaining. Since the CWU tore up the legal undertakings contained in the Agenda For Growth Agreement with a strike ballot, all previous agreements are now null and void.

yeh but that 28 days would buy time till the cwu gets summat sorted , we will be in the same boat as they are bringing there revisions in the 1st week in January , so let the games begin :thumbup , lets hope the CWU pull the plug by EA on the holiday pay agreement so lets start getting the claims into tribunual . f**k em

Has anyone been informed what the revisions entail? And when they're supposed to be implemented, Presumably saving hours but is it the rumour of removal of large parcels or simply removing duties so the remaining new duties are impossible to complete or what?

Tried asking our com but he says he doesn't know which is his standard answer to most questions.
