Seniority in our office, there’s 4 spots and I’m number 5 on the list of people that applied, 2 have taken it, Dom is speaking with the other 2 above me today. Should know Saturday.
good luck mate hope your celebrating on monday sounds about right with what we have been told around 3 or 4 per office but put on hold for the time being as they cant do all the offices nationwide at once

Did anyone get an email saying they would be offered VR ? I'm sure that is what the app stated.

41% of depots understaffed - they don't even need any redundancies.....

Thompson - what are you doing to us, our customers - both senders and those ordering and expecting to receive items.
1. Redundancies of staff on current pay, terms and conditions.
2. Replace those redundancies with staff on worse pay terms and conditions.

They aren't getting rid of 25,000 staff, they are replacing us. Then it will be the next 25,000.

The app didn't say they would definitely contact us by email. I copied the info on the app and what they actually said was:
We may need to communicate with you during this process and we intend to use the email address you used to register with the people app. If you would like us to use an alternative email address for communication regarding this process, please advise your line manager. Please check your junk or spam folders regularly for any messages.

I did wonder how we would find out if we've been selected or not.

Would it be via email, the app, letter or in person from a manager? :hmmmm
It seems to be the latter and being done on seniority, which is the fairest way in my opinion, considering people are voluntarily choosing to give up their job. :thumbup

We haven't heard anything at my DO yet, but from what I've been told, it's imminent.

I hoping I'm one of the lucky ones! :thumbup

I take it from what Dave ward said last night that he’s quite happy for v r to happen now. So does that mean he’s given up on the gold plated 2 year deal on the original signed terms ?

Well if that is the case it should apply to all as it would be discrimination otherwise also includes managers so think on your revisions less staff less managers on the terms imposed by diktat from above!

Based on this poll after ~400 votes it looks like 50-60% of offices will lose 1 or more staff through VR.

So why would they go down the compulsory redundancy route? plenty applied for VR....but they are seemingly letting a relatively small amount go through VR.

Obviously I am speculating as this is just a poll of 400 people so far.

Anybody else heard recently about getting VR or who is getting VR at their office? - how many people and what % of the office does that amount to...

None at mine, very disappointed. It would have been nice to get some sort of acknowledgment when you sent off for it on the app and also a email informing you if you didn’t get it. Very poor Royal Mail.
