So you'll have around 20% less staff than you 'should have'.lobsterhands wrote: ↑08 Dec 2022, 06:56We had to lose just over 700 hours in our office ( 20 FT staff ) they’ve taken up to now 10 VR’s ,5 naturally going in the next 3/4 months and they reckon people will leave between now and April.. hey Presto .. 700 hours gained.
There not bothered this has no chance of working it’s a cost cutting exercise, the COM has told them numerous times it’s impossible to achieve any targets set he is always greeted with the same response “ just do it “
At a guess I think my depot is between 25-30% understaffed than what's needed with the current/old setup. We have been told that based on the changes RM want to make - we are actually understaffed by 10, so nobody will be getting made redundant.
I take it this will all go ahead...
-The VRs will go ahead where 'needed'.
-I assume parcels are going to be delivered by owner drivers out of hubs.
-Posties will deliver less parcels, but more post....walks will be made longer.
-Based on what I am hearing this will happen end March/early April. VRs will leave and our walks will be so long that we will collapse with fatigue.
