2. Currys dropping us is a massive hammer blow to Simon
3. Ofcom saying we're no longer going to get away with ignoring the USO
4. This Ride App company were meant to be taking over our parcels today. 30 of them. This morning that was down to 12. This afternoon down to 6. Good luck with that!
I feel the tide is beginning to turn in our favour. Hang in there lads/lasses!

EXACTLY THIS.Duesouth wrote: ↑05 Dec 2022, 15:05I think Simon and Dave should have a game of ping pong because these so called talks are going back and forth without any resolution.
It's like a playground out there with kids fighting in a play ground, on how peter hurt paul, but did he really or is it just allegations.
If Simon is offering the last and final offer, what's the point of Dave going to these meetings. See you on friday on the picket line Simon.
"Discuss the details of our non-negotiable ultimatum". That's not how negotation bloody works, Si. What a feckin wombat.

That's exactly how I read itCeltic warrior wrote: ↑05 Dec 2022, 11:10So let's look at this in detail.
They want to reiterate, sorry discuss, the details of their best and final offer.
(Will there be compromise or further dictate?)
The "We" part,
(Does that include Simon or just another jumped up yes man?)
They want to discuss CWU reps conduct & behaviours and want Dave, the CWU, to publicly condemn these actions!
(But they fail to mention about them condemning the jumped up allegations and suspensions of other CWU reps and members!)
Will they address the actions of their bullying managers and the lies they are telling the public about their mail not being left to rot for the sake of his parcels agenda!
Life in business is a two way street and this clown has to realise that proper leadership is through leading and taking your workforce with you not as in his dictate, do as I say or the dummy is out the pram!
See you on the picket line on Friday Simon.

If there is no agreement before Xmas, be prepared for a tsunami of executive action beginning of January!

Dear Simon
In response to your letter dated 5th December, the CWU is willing to meet you and your team at ACAS tomorrow to negotiate a resolution to our dispute.
As you know, your so-called “best and final offer” has been rejected by the union. We place no preconditions on meetings and neither should the company.
As I said in my letter to you on the 29th November - the only thing that matters - in the interests of our members (your employees), customers and the future of the company - is that we have a joint responsibility to continue to explore every possible way of reaching an agreement.
We understand that both parties have now confirmed their availability with ACAS for tomorrow’s meeting.
Yours sincerely
Dave Ward
General Secretary

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It's patronising bullsh** from Thompson....
'let's go through it together again so that you understand it'.
We very much understand it.... you will make people compulsorily redundant in March/April.
We ain't signing up to that.

Am I wrong or wasn't tomorrow when we were suppose to be meeting large shareholders to discuss this ceo and also present our alternative plans?
So can we still do this or is it just a ploy to stop us meeting with them?

This is an attempt to save his face to reassure public he tries to save Christmas as pressure is onto him. He doesn't want a deal. I reckon this Christmas is already written off and they are going to destroy the company anyway. Many have mentioned the executive action from January onwards. This is awaits us. This parasite seems to be employed to destroy royal mail and cwu. Ofcom should be all over him as well as government but something tells me neither will happen. We are doomed. If there is no progress this week we may as well start going back in. Final call to start actively looking for another job.

In a weird way, it resembles the language of an abuser. "Don't you understand? Do you need me to explain it to you again?" etc. etc.

Going on past form I'm not holding out too much hope of a resolution.

Lots of negative comments about the meeting tomorrow and rightly so due to the tactics that ST and the board are capable of.
I feel differently this time though, maybe im being too naive but i think this bollard is about to move. I think ST hoped that currys etc would not move their business elsewhere and just ride through the strikes. Losing that much money and the realisation of losing more has made ST blink first!
We will find out soon..............
