Jeez the holy grail of duty patterns is still alive!! Wow ours went 10yrs ago, was the best duty rota ever, hardly felt like you were there sometimes. That's going to be a big shock for you when lose that.

We lost our wallingfords , despite working 6 days a week for 5 weeks it was brilliant having 12- 13 whole weeks off a year ( including leave) currently on 1 in 3 but apparently that's going to 1 in 6 .

Any idea how it would save hours for an office?

We have 1/4. We get Friday Saturday off and Monday Tuesday the next week. So 5 days off every 4 weeks. The other 2 weeks you just get Wednesday or Thursday off. Longer days work till 1600 on Wednesday and Thursday.

How do I get a transfer to your office lol .

We should have vacancies but have 2 agency staff in. Most of the workforce is 59+ So if we don’t have vacancies now definitely will in the next few years. I exspext any one wanting to transfer will get forced to sign up to do Sundays. Just my thoughts though, maybe not. When I transferred down had to drop from full time to part time, took nearly ten years but back up to full time. Good thing is when you have Friday Saturday or Monday Tuesday off if you want overtime you can get 16-20 hours overtime in so quite easy to hit £550 or more after tax etc a week.

It has been rumoured our office will disappear in the future and get merged into a another local office which would be but for now it’s all good!
