When he cannot even pay us inflation and is reluctant to pay inflation at our wage as it stands this guy is incredulous. With his offers when he has nothing but derision for anyone but himself and pays himself more than most earn in a lifetime! All I will say is remember France 1789 and all that came with it and it was not just one the people came for?

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
It wouldn't matter if it was possible to earn £50k which I doubt , even if he was counting overtime (and he is obviously implying it's basic) and even if he was discounting part-time staff to get his "Postie average" which is disengenous at best, London posties make up around 10% of the total membership so could not impact the final figures enough to offset the rest earning far closer to £25k.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 16:59When I was a postman in outer London my earnings for my last 3 years were approx £37 000 and I was far from being a docket king.
And I wasn't in an office with a 4-day week with 2 days SA. They were rumoured to be on 50k +.
Basically the guy is a classic manipulating narcissist.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
I'll cut anyone some slack, "live 'n let live" thats me, but there comes a time in any relationship when its obviously gone toxic and has been for quite some years with different characters at the helm, that you have to come off the fence and nail your flag to the mast.
Its not just the current prate who should resign but quite a few others too. Clearly, the management culture of Royal Mail is one of onanistic opportunism* addicted to rewards for failure, lies and more lies.
Its not just that, they seem to have a visceral and intense hatred of the workforce.
Whats that about?
Imagine the productivity output if they'd suddenly become honest and normal, but no, if there's a crooked way of doing stuff and an honest way of doing stuff thats a bit more productive, they'll still choose the crooked way because....because.
They're a joke.

I work Nights in an Outer London MC and will fall just short of earning 30k this year so not quite sure how you were able to earn 37k must be working a lot of long Sundays with quite a bit of OT attached to your dutyclashcityrocker wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 16:59When I was a postman in outer London my earnings for my last 3 years were approx £37 000 and I was far from being a docket king.

Simon Says
we are slowing down the roll out (uniforms) - due to our current financial situation - the original idea was to provide new uniforms to everyone this year - that will now not happen - we are supplying to new starters, since there is no alternative for them - also, we are urgently reviewing our new electric vans orders - I have asked the team to see if we can cancel what is coming - we have to balance the books - sorry about the news....

A narcissist that will eventually leave the Royal Mail in a mess, after he and his cronies have asset stripped the good parts of the company. It amazes me that the UK Government allows this kind of behaviour.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 18:06It wouldn't matter if it was possible to earn £50k which I doubt , even if he was counting overtime (and he is obviously implying it's basic) and even if he was discounting part-time staff to get his "Postie average" which is disengenous at best, London posties make up around 10% of the total membership so could not impact the final figures enough to offset the rest earning far closer to £25k.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 16:59When I was a postman in outer London my earnings for my last 3 years were approx £37 000 and I was far from being a docket king.

Simon & his creed are cut from the same cloth as that shower of blue rosette scum currently at the helm so it would only surprise me if things had a different outcome.

So no response to publicly being called a liar, but "feeling angry" when someone takes the p!ss out of him.
I suppose it beats "feeling grateful" when the Queen passed away.

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
Not many CEOs would survive a share price crash like he has created, still why should he care another golden handshake like all the other CEOs we have had got lumbered with. One day they might get someone with vision that fights against the DSA free loaders and uses what we have to grow the packets and letters side by side.
