Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
I’m on £17k (before deductions) so according to Simon Twitson’s calculator the rest of you must be on on £40k. At least.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

In that case, where do I claim my missing gross pay of thousands?
I could almost believe inner London full time OPGs get contract hours near £30k gross.
... Maybe a huge proportion of OPGs work at inner London depots and do some overtime.

If he cannot get basic fact right why should anyone believe him "No I have not been talking to venture capitalists about dumping the price of Royal Mail by refusing talks sticking my head up my arse honestly" Really now go now and be damned and go forth and multiply in your own lies!

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
I can see how your basing this as £30,000 / 52.17 = £575 a week / 37 hours' is in fact £15.54 an hour, But they think you being paid £13 an hour with allowances is 40% overpaid so in effect Royal Mail would have everyone one on £7.80 an hour? is that illegal well it is as £9.50 for over 25 year olds. Are we now to believe that they are infect an offshore employer who recruit at illegal wages and are just as criminal as drug dealers and slave importers!kazardaimenu wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 16:07£15.50 an hour just over? Bring us up to this and we'll call off the strikes provided no changes.

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
His calculation may be roughly correct but should only be limited to the offices inside M25 where inner or outer London allowance is paid. Average 30k could be achieved I think. If he referred to the whole of the UK, he is obviously trying to fool the public as I believe the average would be nearer to 25k.

Could be assuming the average postie pulls in £5000 or so in overtime but they should not have to.

Re: Poll : Should Simon resign?
When I was a postman in outer London my earnings for my last 3 years were approx £37 000 and I was far from being a docket king.
And I wasn't in an office with a 4-day week with 2 days SA. They were rumoured to be on 50k +.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
