Yes, my contribution is a No vote. That's how it usually works. You reject the first deal. Strap yourself in pal because you are dreaming if you think this deal gets the green light. 😉. Looking forward to communicating with you further to discuss our No victory

Well I'm voting yes take the money, late starts varied hours over the year not a problem as I never finish anyway, any one thinking we would be better off even Royal Mail were to go into liquidation is an idiot
This site is populated by selfish hardline extremists who only care about sounding tough.
If people detest the job so much and think that working in a Supermarket is better, then crack on and leave!
I'm confident that the majority of Postal Workers are pragmatic and realise that this is the best we are going to get, whilst it's not the best deal it's better than going into administration.
Yeah it's the best deal for those in processing. :thumbup

If you look at the sell-out deal in detail, most of it affects us on delivery. From working less indoor work to working even more contractual hours outdoors in winter with later starts and finishes. Then reduce the sick pay so that there's no real recovery from these marathon rounds and you will be forced to go to work.

What Royal Mail are doing is forcing decent, honest and hard working posties out of the door and replacing them with the new staff that they want to recruit on less pay, terms and conditions. And it's not just on delivery either ....There is talk of levelling up but do you seriously believe that?? I don't and here's why....There's talk of increasing part time contracts to full-time in this deal just like in the last agreement and yet there are still dozens of part-timers that are still working full time hours for the last 5 years on overtime but still haven't got a full time contract!!

No doubt our starting times will change when there are changes to the Network, then again staff in Processing have had their shift patterns changed umpteen times in the past 30 plus years I've worked there.
We just get on with it without the drama :wave .

In reality this is not a good deal but to reject it and strike and think we will get a better deal I don't think we can or will get a better deal. Think of this as a retreat a tactical withdrawal lost the battle but live to fight again there is no point fighting till the last man/woman this is a hopeless cause. Thing is in reality it is royal mail who have lost as they have lost our good will and the dressing room because doing as little as possible is the only way forward out of this mess caused by them!
I agree with losing the goodwill & dressing room but I also think a resounding no is better than accepting this deal. RM has run its course as a private company. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was broken up either way over the next year or two wether in private hands or making a stance and it collapsing with the government having to step in to provide a postal service. Either way the CWU is finished in the workplace.
Yep. And we all need to remember, this deal isn't about saving RM, it's about greed and making rich shareholders richer. So there is obviously room for a better offer and a less greedy offer from RM
You've seen the accounts have you?
No but please show me so we are on the same page
If you haven't seen the accounts then your assertions are pretty much nonsense.
I'm glad you represent the minority on here. Get prepared to strike or look for another job :)
We will see how the ordinary Postal Worker will vote of which the vast majority I work with aren't Marxist extremists who would rather put the company out of business and their colleagues out of work than back down.
Solidarity comrade :Applause .
You work in processing so you would accept the deal. Whatever suits you
Even if processing accept the deal ( and there is plenty of no voters in my mc) please for the last time del outnumber processing by at least 3-1.

If you don't think the deal is to try and turn the mess around caused by RM in the first place and to start making profits again for shareholder payouts what do you think the deal is for exactly? They certainly haven't done it for us.

We just get on with it without the drama :wave .
We have got progressively later since when I first started at 5am on delivery. Since then we had single daily delivery, we had longs and shorts, we had our d2d payments taken away, we have shared van working, we have revisions making duties unachievable.
Don't forget we don't also get the additional shift allowance that those who work in mail centres do.

Perhaps there's no drama in mail centres because they don't have anywhere near as much change as deliveries?? :hmmmm

I mean do you get bullsh*t off your line manager if you tell them that you don't want to do overtime?? It's only in Royal Mail that I've ever experienced this!

I wonder how many of our colleagues in Deliveries just pay lip service to our militant Forum members and tell them they are voting No to keep the peace.
A secret ballot could yield a different result.

We have had far more changes than that and all manner horrible shifts.
6 Nighters and 6 day back shifts weren't much fun, NDA and Saturday Premium taken off us replaced with inferior Shift Allowances.
Whilst delivery staff have always finished around 2pm at the latest apart from rural staff who finished a bit later.

It's not just the working hours that is bothering posties in this deal, it's the working conditions.

There don't seem to be many people in distribution and processing that seem unhappy. It can't be that they are all a different breed, it must be because the working conditions are actually quite good

Would love to say they are superb but they are far from it. I agree delivery is 100% harder but like ive said before if delivery vote yes don't blame processing staff. we have all striked for same agreement now is the time to decide.
