They don't mess about like HR who are basically just comprised of managers who couldn't handle bullying people face-to-face.Barnacle wrote: ↑30 Jun 2024, 09:46If it goes above HR, who does it go to?ChrisBlack wrote: ↑30 Jun 2024, 09:20Use the Speak Up service, anonymously, if you can get hold of any good evidence of misconduct.
It goes straight above HR. HR are not there to protect staff, they are there to protect the company.
It's the only thing that has gotten me results when RM have been gaslighting and ignoring me.

Unfortunately it is very hard to sack people now days. Or it is if you are as incompetent as most managers, at all levels, in Royal Mail.funkflex55 wrote: ↑18 Jun 2024, 15:15From what I've seen if manager gets enough grievances they get moved to a different office so they can go and do the same there. Same with poor performing ones. Do s**t, get moved elsewhere, do s**t there. Then again my old company was the same. Very few get managed out, they just moved the problem around like a s**t game of pass the s**t manager parcel.
You have the same problem with postmen. We have several that would be out of the door in any other company.

There is a process to sack someone: verbal warning, written warning, etc., but there is an unwillingness to begin this process. I don’t know why because seeing someone seem to get away with all kinds of terrible behaviour, is demoralising for the staff who try to do a good job and not be a knob.jagger wrote: ↑05 Jul 2024, 18:39Unfortunately it is very hard to sack people now days.
