Is it still 2010 where you lot are?
Why are we still having this conversation?
Why are we still having this conversation?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: 2D2 deductions during strikes
This. If it was for d2d, why would you get it on holiday or weeks you have none? It's just a supplement so as has been said, strike for a day and you'll get 1/5 of that supplement stopped.fed_up_postie wrote: ↑13 Sep 2022, 22:30Sadly this is false, it DID replace the D2D payments, also mail centre staff recieve this payment as well which is why the vote went in favour for this all those years ago, mail centre staff seeing free money and screwing over delivery staffjessicarabbit wrote: ↑13 Sep 2022, 21:21Simply this. It didn't replace the D2D payments. It is a new payment for being in deliveries. At the same time D2D payments ceased. If you didn't do deliveries for 1 day (you were on strike) then you lose 1/5 of your delivery supplement.

Surely you should get a bigger delivery supplement if you work your day out then?

Good point as it's a supplement attached to the particular job, although don't forget it is reflected in overtime pay up to full time 37 hours so if you're part time you do get it but only until you've reached 37 hrs.Sbutts8182 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 20:44Surely you should get a bigger delivery supplement if you work your day out then?

Each type of office has got it's own supplement. Which supplement someone gets depends on the type of office that they're "tagged to"ted_e_bear wrote: ↑18 Sep 2022, 09:48Good point as it's a supplement attached to the particular job, although don't forget it is reflected in overtime pay up to full time 37 hours so if you're part time you do get it but only until you've reached 37 hrs.Sbutts8182 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 20:44Surely you should get a bigger delivery supplement if you work your day out then?

Yeah we're just a delivery office so everyone here gets the delivery supplement.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Sep 2022, 09:57Each type of office has got it's own supplement. Re: D2D deductions during strikes
The payment is for sorting it but everyone gets paid it as it is incorporated into the delivery supplement if the extra D2D causes you problems completing you should use the over running procedure!

Re: D2D deductions during strikes
The Delivery Supplement gets paid to all those working in the Delivery Function. I work in the CSP at my local office. I do not prep or sort D2Ds, (occasionally I tidy excess d2d for return). But I still get paid "Delivery Supplement"

Re: 2D2 deductions during strikes
The delivery supplement started being paid the week after D2D payment ended exactly because it's a supplement for that payment. It's a payment for not getting paid for delivering D2D. That's what a supplement is - making up for a deficiency.stoneybroke wrote: ↑14 Sep 2022, 05:30It was just a massive coincidence that as the d2d payments ended, the delivery supplement was paid the exact following week. Who'd have thought it.

That's what I'm trying to say. They stopped D2D payments and then paid us the delivery supplement instead. It just made it an easier way to pay us rather than us filling in D2D claim forms every week (and probably saving RM a fair few quid). Basically still paying us, but under a different name. The only reason they started paying us a delivery supplement was because they stopped the D2D payment.Mr Rush wrote: ↑19 Sep 2022, 01:04The delivery supplement started being paid the week after D2D payment ended exactly because it's a supplement for that payment. You get the same money each week, no matter how many D2D you deliver on a given weekstoneybroke wrote: ↑19 Sep 2022, 08:49That's what I'm trying to say.
