I take this was a scam, because there no mention of a payment date...
I’ll let you know when I get mine.
p
Or maybe you won’t get one if it’s a scam. Colleague shares anyone?
Or maybe it will be like the time when people were saying we wouldn’t get the payments tied to the agreement? Also your colleague shares ‘scam’ is the reason you have received double your regular Christmas bonus in the years since they were a thing.

Something else to thank the union for.
I wil make sure I send Dave Ward a thank you note. Am I supposed to be thanking them for negotiating worse terms and conditions as well.
I’m sure a note thanking them for saving your job might be appreciated.
I’m sure it would be if they had actually done as you say , perhaps you could enlighten me as to how exactly he saved my job. Not been on a stage warning ever , nor been subjected to disciplinary measures.
They saved all of our jobs with the agreement. But let’s not go over old ground. Yet again. It is done. Over. And it takes the thread off topic unnecessarily.

Well I am shocked, SHOCKED, our office did not make the grade. I think, though, we can all be proud the office was clear on Tuesday 5th: a feat not even achieved in July FFS. All it took was 200% staffing.
The machine stops.

We didn’t do too bad and cleared at Christmas but was told by the rep today we are getting nothing. I even queried about it being weekly but apparently we failed every week.

The targets were so woefully bad that for most offices it was totally unachievable. For our office all that had to happen to fail the entire week was for one and a bit lines of someones frame to be left on one day and that was the entire office failed. Considering we have been failing ever since the first round of revisions 2 n half years ago with another few revisions by exec action and people leaving and not being replaced on top it was always a non starter. They are even coming back for more! Madness.

The only day we cleared the entire office was Christmas eve!

Not sure if the mail centre needed all DO's to clear to qualify. We were told we are gonna get at least £100. Probably around 40 DO's at our mail centre. Unless all the DO's actually cleared :hmmmm :hmmmm

Yep, MCs required all the DOs in their area to also clear.

So seeing as we not ghetting the £500 bonus are all the newspapers who reported we were getting a £500 bonus now going to report that we in fact aren't and that it was all BS?

It isn’t all BS. There was a potential (though next to impossible to attain) £500 bonus offered. Some offices have managed to earn the £250, some haven’t.

I wonder how many of them offices will mysteriously find RM taking hours out of them.

They probably will at some point. The incentive bonus will have highlighted the performance of all the offices in the country and Royal Mail have now compiled an up-to-date Doomsday book. Those delivery offices that have overachieved are ripe for being streamlined in the future imho. It won't happen overnight and will usually lead to increased lapsing/absorption in those units. Its wishful thinking to believe that they want the USO to succeed nationwide because they want rid of it, so there will be changes.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

We were told today the 14 duties that have been taken out in the last 4 months are all been put back in as from monday our office has collapsed over xmas our 2 managers have been on the sick with stress related issues out of the 5 new starters employed to cover parcels in the afternoon as we are a hub office 3 have left so we are back to taking our large parcels on our duties until we have a structural revision some time this year so my question to our area manager was why are we not getting the incentive bonus when the complete disaster over the xmas period was down to management decisions.

Doesn't really make any sense because we got the £250 but that was with no annual leave, agency staff doing parcels, agency staff doing walks and people starting 3 hours early plus 9 hire vans. All things which have now stopped or gone . But then we are talking about royal mail so nothing would surprise me! Our managers have said we aren't having any revision or duties taken out this year because that happened last year but we will see. They are stopping early morning IPS though
