Does anyone know who is supposed to attend to the customers at the times the CSP is open? Is it supposed to be the com/com support or whatever the Phg/other indoor staff are called these days breaking off whatever they're doing if a customer turns up.
No one. The doors will be locked. Same as now.
Eh, what so although your office is open you keep the doors locked.
Don’t most offices have separate entrances for staff and customers?
Yeah I'd imagine all of them but my query was that I wondered who'd be responsible for serving the customers during the periods the CSP was open if the actual CSP duty was gone, I meant at the CSP entrance not just wandering about in the yard but I didn't realise I should have needed to explain that on my first post.
Sorry mate, misread your post.
There will still be someone employed to work in the CSP. They will just be found other work to do to fill their time.
They still have to book in items brought back. Redeliveries, putting away keys and PDA’s. Dealing with afternoon/agency staff.
In our office it’s two duties being reduced to one.

Christmas will be a heated affair if the doors are going to shut at 10am sharp.

They will just extend the hours to suit to be agreed locally with the local union for local solutions. A truly one-fits-all approach. A bit like our new delivery methods.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

That's about what I thought, our CSP guy is the resident brown noser, well one of them, he's not in the office due to dodgy knees etc,he's perfectly capable of doing a duty, we've been on these new opening times a while but despite there being plenty to do the com just gives him a bit of lapsing or put someone's d2ds in.

Now these new times are becoming national I wonder if the coms will be told to officially absorb the CSP job.
