Re: The union leadership is a joke.
After 36 years we have a job!
I presume that’s what those in Victorian Work Houses said!
Slowly but surely our benefits are being ground down.
We won’t have walks of 10-12 miles per day, it will be 12-14.
Knees/Hips will be shot by the time individuals are 40 & then thrown to the dustbin.
Pressure & the bullying will continue, Stage 1/2 will still be mandatory given, even after individuals walking to the car park after finishing work have a heart attack!
Wake up people, the deal is the worst I’ve seen, vote NO

Go on.
What about the planners?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The planners are probably ok, it's the office coach payments for doing fuk all, the making up to "full" time but only 35 hrs, just for a start that want sorting.

Shouldn't you always use the LWT if it's meant to be used on your walk? If you injure yourself, one of the first questions a manager is bound to ask is "were you using the LWT?" if you weren't, chances are they'll immediately put it down as a blameworthy

Voting no too, everythings too vague . Please dont just think about the small amount of bk pay involved which normally means a yes vote !

they dont add in time for using trolley on duties they expect person using trolley to take same time as one walking withoutSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑24 Jan 2021, 20:14Shouldn't you always use the LWT if it's meant to be used on your walk? i use trolley all the time
also in severe weather lwt cannot cope with heavy rain, going in and out of trolley for packets etc causes everything to get soaked , adding more time onto duties as they intend to will make situation worse

Re: The union leadership is a joke.
I know this post is not strictly about the CWU leadership, I do feel it ties in somewhat. Since the agreement was reached with the leadership and Royal Mail, I believe there are 24 issues that are outstanding. I’ve kept an eye out, hoping the issues would be posted. I emailed info@cwu.org which is what you get when you send the CWU a Facebook message, enquiring about these issues. They replied, not with the answer to the issues, but passing the buck to my branch secretary. I emailed him on Tues, got a reply asking for my DO and phone number, which I replied with. But as of yet, today Friday, no reply. Therefore, I have voted ‘No’.
Although the extra money would come in handy. I feel that I can not vote ‘Yes’ on a deal where a number of issues are missing. They may turn out to be simple issues with no impact on our working lives, however they may not! Without the union ‘Communicating’ with its members about these issues, turning a deaf ear on them, it does not look good.

Re: The union leadership is a joke.
The most worrying part to me is that vast swathes of the membership are unaware that the 24 issues even exist, it’s scary what could be waiting for this companies employees imminently if as expected this is voted in.Pharox wrote: ↑29 Jan 2021, 15:35I know this post is not strictly about the CWU leadership, I do feel it ties in somewhat.
