You did of course forget to add on the bit where you get your PDA out and have to log back in ,as it's logged you out, that takes at least an hour, due to the number of attempts needed.steve1873 wrote:Not every tracked. Every item that requires a chap on the door, or as they put it "doorstep transaction". So any packet/parcel larger than letter box, Signed For's, Tracked (sig required plus oversized) and Special Delivery items. 8.2 seconds. It takes about that to take PDA out pocket and unlock the thing, then scan item. What about the time it takes customer to answer the door? What about the time it takes to input their name in to PDA and then have then sign for the item? What about the time it takes to correctly fill out P739 card, including writing the 13 digit reference number, since some bright spark decided to do away with the stickers?Destiny wrote:Is it supposed to be a value of 8.2 for every tracked, weekly averaged out over the shared duty?

Absolute lunacy for them to even attempt to justify this figure. And whilst I am on that, 8.2 seconds seems pretty precise, no? Why not just round it up to 9 seconds? I mean it is still ridiculous, but at least it would be a nice round figure!
Also, why do they keep telling us mail volumes are down, when clearly they are not. Not in my office at least.
