Simon Thompson also said in that committee that 97% of Royal Mail staff are full-time

Can it be clarified exactly how many hours are classed as full-time in Royal Mail? By that figure then you would be looking at a 25 hour contract in our office as being full-time!!

Also, we have had that sheet that Darren Jones showed the Select Committee up on our noticeboard. Duties have been literally failing for months. We were told that if one loop was taken from that delivery then it would be classed as a "part-failure" even though at least 90% of it never went out

Just a pity we are not allowed to take pictures because there was evidence of mail being left in some frames for days on end - and this was after lockdown and before the strikes took place. The fact of the matter is that managers were not adequately covering duties so as to meet the office budget.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I used to think site administrators were impartial! How nieve I am to believe a word of this!!
Postman is just quoting RM's statement.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

Meanwhile Royal Mail continue executive action against the will of the workforce, yet this Thompson dude wants to try to explain why we should be on his side.

He's deluded. Surely needs help. He has to go.

CWU false claim 3:
The outcome of this dispute rests on the outcome of this ballot
The truth:
This ballot is not seeking the opinion of our people on the content of the deal on the table. CWU has refused to put our offer to its members so far.
Rather this is about voting for further strike action. We have made our best and final offer, as we simply cannot afford any more. But the CWU is not letting members decide if they want to accept it.
This makes absolutely no sense.

If we wanted to accept the "offer" we wouldn't vote to strike over it would we? Idiots.

Exactly and that's why we know for certain management are lying . Incidentally , the only reason why there's no compulsory redundancies now is because we took industrial action . Like you pointed out , before that it was on the cards from 1st April 2023

IF we thought RM management were honest, maybe we'd say keep the money to help the company. But my gripes are (in my office) some duties going to 5pm, the 10 duties going (job losses) and the addition of even more work onto everyone. Also after booking my holidays 12 months in advance, around my long weekends, they change my day off without saying a word. As Thin Lizzy said 'Dont believe a word'
