Customer collections 5 items?

If i rember corectly when introducted the Max weight of 2nd class items was about 2lbs , over that it was either 1st cl or parcel

It's a max of 20Kg for non-Tracked packets both 1st/24 and 2nd/48 and 30Kg for Tracked 24 and Tracked 48. The Standard Parcels service got axed a good few years ago

I would hope that customers wanting a collection will automatically get one from the relevant carrier, i.e RM or PF, when they input the weight of their parcel.

I think it'll be down to how much a 30Kg parcel is for PF compared with other couriers. If it's really expensive then I think RM would rather it stay with RM rather than risk losing traffic to other couriers

Doesn't stop the "sending customer" from sticking it down as 20Kg even though it might be over 20Kg

I had 20 to collect from one address but it only showed as 1. The customer told me there were 20 not 1. All individually entered as apparently you can’t book more than 1 at a time. Took me ages to scan them, as I had to look for each number. Luckily the customer gave me bags to take them back to the van.

Wondering how this gets recorded so that walks that regularly get them gets time allowances ect.

'Technically' you would not be allowed to do a 'favour' if it costs the business revenue.
If she hasn't paid for a collection, or collection per item then you 'could' be up for a conduct.

Totally - the public have heard all the stories about Royal Mail being unable to DELIVER mail so don't
trust RM to pick stuff up - irrespective of the fact that managers harangue before you go out and when
you're out - 'Make sure you do the customer collection' 'Have you picked up the COLOD yet?' - It's obviously
this month's tick in the box topic to chase up........
