Re: Customer collections 5 items?
The RM website does not let a 'sending' customer use RM for parcels above 20kg, it redirects you to PF.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 19:41I think it'll be down to how much a 30Kg parcel is for PF compared with other couriers. If it's really expensive then I think RM would rather it stay with RM rather than risk losing traffic to other couriersJefferson Starfish wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 13:40I would hope that customers wanting a collection will automatically get one from the relevant carrier, i.e RM or PF, when they input the weight of their parcel.![]()

Doesn't stop the "sending customer" from sticking it down as 20Kg even though it might be over 20Kgyellowbelly wrote: ↑10 Jan 2022, 18:40The RM website does not let a 'sending' customer use RM for parcels above 20kg, it redirects you to PF.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 19:41I think it'll be down to how much a 30Kg parcel is for PF compared with other couriers. Re: Customer collections 5 items?
I had 20 to collect from one address but it only showed as 1. The customer told me there were 20 not 1. All individually entered as apparently you can’t book more than 1 at a time. Took me ages to scan them, as I had to look for each number. Luckily the customer gave me bags to take them back to the van.

Customer satisfaction – how Parcel Collect opens up to a whole new market
Life has become a whole lot easier over the years and a lot of that is down to convenience. Want to avoid the dreaded Saturday morning grocery shop? Done, home deliveries can sort that. No time for a pit stop at the bank? In comes internet banking.
Royal Mail is taking charge of what customers want. Since its launch, more and more customers are seizing the opportunity of greater convenience with Parcel Collect.
And our business customers are gravitating towards the service, too. musicMagpie, an online retailer buying and selling refurbished electronics and second-hand computer games, consoles, books, films and music – have seen a steady uptake of Parcel Collect, particularly over the past few months.
They will be pushing this more and more this year.
Wondering how this gets recorded so that walks that regularly get them gets time allowances ect.
Will be fubar'd Royal Mail stylee of course for most.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Ok, thoughts on this please folks:
Got a professional ebay'er/seller whatever who COLOD from, but now she's started
giving me say 5 or 6 'normal' stamped packets ''just to save me going to the letterbox' - admittedly not
as big as the COLOD items but would you take them/refuse?
Before COLOD she never gave them to me so it's something she's just started to do.

'Technically' you would not be allowed to do a 'favour' if it costs the business revenue.yellowbelly wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022, 16:00Ok, thoughts on this please folks:

If she hasn't paid for a collection, or collection per item then you 'could' be up for a conduct.
Technically.

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
Totally - the public have heard all the stories about Royal Mail being unable to DELIVER mail so don't
trust RM to pick stuff up - irrespective of the fact that managers harangue before you go out and when
you're out - 'Make sure you do the customer collection' 'Have you picked up the COLOD yet?' - It's obviously
this month's tick in the box topic to chase up........
