this is going to end up with more complaints from the public which means more pressure and stress for us due to be taken down the conduct code for packets goin missing in the system they forget we have letters and door to doors to handle and they decide to cause us another headache why dont they split the letters and packets make the job a lot more achievable

They’ll be sending messages next on our p d a’s to redeliver the same day !
This is already happening in a way. I’ve seen it happen where customer is out for a special in the morning, manager calls a few hours later saying they’ve been on the phone to the DO having a moan up and to try and re deliver it.

Simon Thompson: that is the thinking - auto redelivery a couple of times - then it needs to be picked up - initially for a £free - but soon for a £fee

So far this week I've had 6 customer collections, 4 weren't in. 9 of my "Guaranteed by 1pm" specials (out of about 14 so far but I've still got 6 to do today) have not been in. If people can't even he around for one morning, how many days am I going to be bringing the same parcels back for?!
Don't worry, soon we'll be delivering so late everyone will be home from work.

Strangely we've already received some of theses green cards and we're nowhere near the trial area. More executive action incoming ??? :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Not much use to anyone who works Monday to Saturday. Other couriers at least give you the option to pick the packet up from lockers or shops. Bad idea.

Stupid idea requesting redelivery if good enough.

We’ve got enough to deal with then you get this. No doubt after the trials they’ll bring this in. Cue door stepping galore, favourites getting away with it and the rest carpeted. Beggars belief. :arrrghhh

Theres a lot of new stuff that Royal Mail are throwing out there getting feedback whether good or bad.

Stop the public having to come in and collect their parcel will save on callers office staff. That is why they charge the public to collect their parcel from a post office instead of having it re-delivered for free to their home.

There is a slight flaw with the card. If you tick the 2nd option for the public to arrange a re-delivery how will the callers office know in advance as they will just assume everything that is coming back is due out for re-delivery the next day? So you might get the public ringing up the next day to arrange the re-delivery of the item even though the item isn't in the office - its already on delivery with the postie that day.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
