3 days a week and you’re going to lose a chunk of the members.

Rolling strikes are the answer. The union need to work out how to get it across that you must cross the line if due to work.

Rolling strikes every week until it’s sorted else we die.

We definately need a lot more than the last 'urgent' meeting they called the other week. That one was a total waste of an hour.

Over to you CWU, earn your union subs now, cut the waffling and meaningless comments about sending a letter etc etc. Restore my confidence in the CWU, please!

You don't speak for everyone here, we might be in for a long slog, you might be able to afford to lose three days pay a week but not all can, so by all means express your opinion, it is after all a forum but just because it's your view it's not mine, too many strikes too quickly and people who can't afford it will start drifting back and then our cause is lost and they will bring in all the nasty stuff

Are you being serious Yubin? How many posties in your DO would be willing to do that? Some DOs are pushed to get their members to go out for two days in a week. You've got to be realistic, we're in it for the long haul, and unfortunately despite pleading poverty Royal Mail have got more money behind them than the average Postie.

Big Business has always been able to force Strikers back to work when their wages stop coming in. The current strategy may not seem very effective to our more gungho colleagues but it's designed to protect the majority of our income, and enable us to continue IA for a long period. :cuppa

Ex Royal Mail here, left the business recently.

Unfortunately I could see this coming with Pullinger/Ward/CWU reps in general. The Union took a different approach to many grievances/issues years ago.

Whilst at RM, I witnessed many CWU reps attracted to premium rate duties with no intention of working the duty. Then illicit in many “local agreements” pocket of management more like.

My thoughts go out to you all, having to deal with such a nasty management hellbent on ruining the job. Some good people within the workforce, don’t let this situation grind you down.

All the best

We've got 12 weeks till Christmas, if this dispute is dragged on or kicked into the long grass past Christmas then we' lose, our industrial strength needs to be used to the max in the next few weeks or we will lose.
