The problem is they want us on strike. They want to prove to government that the core business that we all rely on to keep a roof over our heads is unsustainable. They want rid of uso. They want rid of gls (asset strip) and they want rid of long timers on respectful contracts. It's not about sustainability or growth it's all about a quick buck and that's why Thompson was brought in. If you look back at the four way vid a year or so back you can see him smirking to someone off camera. He was brought into build trust with us and pullinger and then take us to the cleaners while we were all up in arms over a complete lack of respect. We need a person who cares about the growth and future of the business. Anyone of us could be in charge during this time and make quick easy money. He was lucky enough to be appointed during the middle of a pandemic. How proud would everyone be if we could deliver new services and products knowing we were valued and receiving a fair wedge off our efforts made. It's a disgrace. No money for uniform. Has he even heard himself. How can he say it with a straight face whilst still referring to us as team. The guy is void of morals and seriously deserves bad things to happen to him. I wouldn't step in to help if he was being beaten in the street that is for sure.

He's obviously a brick how else could you have the nerve to knowingly destroy a viable business that over 100000 people rely on for a roof so you can take a quick buck when you personally are already worth 77 million. This is getting silly now. Fed up being treated like mushrooms regarding the union. I understand they represent other parties but please an update would be good. Even if they turn around and say Royal Mail and not meeting and we've nothing more to say. At least we know where we all stand. COMMUNICATE WITH US PLEASE

Think about it. The nearer it gets to November when the traffic ramps right up and continues to ramp up, the better affect any strike will have.

He is clearly sociopathic you just have to look at his mannerisms on videos his calm demeanour,sociopaths don't relate to normal society norms think thats why he was picked,to just put out months and months of repetative bs like we are all dumb.

Parcelforce Strikes.

Basically, most of the CWU-represented work places are on strike.

CWU talks haven't made progress in 5 months and industrial action is ongoing
Need to break the impasse, losing £1m a day, need to transform the business
Proposed to take the talks to ACAS - up to the CWU to respond
We need to change the way we work with the CWU to make faster progress and reduce costs
Want to modernise the way of working with the CWU:
CWU given notice on a number of agreements
Want to consult on a new relationship
Need to move away from the system where CWU can veto/block change
Will continue to recognise CWU
CWU will still represent colleagues
Will consult and negotiate with changes & trials & new ways of working
IR framework is outdated and slows down progress
CWU should not be negotiating overtime, leave, etc
CWU should not be delaying trials and veto new initiatives
Millions invested in new technology but legacy agreements stop us from using data to improve performance and safety
CWU IR structure is costly and complex. Agenda for growth states that in IA periods RMG can use executive action
Bringing to an end parts of the agenda for growth and changing the structure of reps and agreement structure

It's looking like RM have deliberately engineered the strike and made no real efforts to stop them or advance any talks as an excuse to back out of the previous agreements without negotiation and to force through the "changes we need".

Yep I expect Simple Simon would like all those things .... where does that leave us? As unprotected peons slaving to make more PROFIT for the Board & Share Holders, basically doing what they say, when they say with no T&Cs.

For those eager for an update (notice there seem to be a majority from Processing?) you need to be more PATIENT, this isn't Twatter. Not sure if it's because you're used to a constant social media feed but we know we're on Strike 30th & 1st. Nothing's going to be settled by then. I suggest you put some OT in and build up your warchest ready to support the Strike.
