its all gone quiet with the union and Royal mail perhaps now is the time to announce new strike dates to ramp it up a bit

Give them chance people moan when there is no updates moan when there are as they don’t have much to say when u put your cross in the box u backed the union to act on your behalf thee damned if they do damned if they don’t in my opinion there trying to juggle the best way to do things so has little impact on the worker with the cost of living crisis and maximum effect on the business but we are in such a bad place to start with it’s going to be a war not just a few battles

Our COM says they've been in talks with each other for "a few days" and we will "see what the union decide to throw away in exchange for a slight pay increase" before the strike dates. Whether this is inside info or just the words of a weary ex postie remains to be seen

They will go in anyway, will they go and deliver tracked and reg i doubt it that will be agency and non union members plus those who choose not to strike.

Apparently, this is what Simon Thompson has offered non operational managers to cross the picket lines. This is what the CWU put out this afternoon, saying its embarrassing, shameful and desperate! The point is this CEO is not interested in an agreement

Don’t expect any news or move towards and sort of agreement prior to the 1st October - that’s the unions flagship “enough is enough” combined industry walkout.

The payment to managers to "cross the picket line" is not about getting managers to go in, which (as has been pointed out) they sort of have to do as it's not them striking.
The point of the bribe, the agency, the vans, is to show the workers that he would rather throw money on a fire than give any to us. It's a display of spite, to show us that he won't capitulate.
