Let's get the facts right it is not the king or forma queens fault the nation is f****d up but the conservative party and if heads may roll start with them 12 days' of inaction to go with two months of boris playing action man and having two holidays overseas.While the nation needs leadership? Each to their own but it all just seems a bit surreal. I did a gig on guitar last night at a social club, in the entrance where people buy meat raffle tickets they had a book of remembrance. The secretary asked if we’d all signed it, when I said I hadn’t he wanted to know why and seemed genuinely annoyed. I mean with all due respect I don’t think in the coming weeks Charles will be sat with his feet up having a cuppa reading through them all!

I used to feel sorry for all those in North Korea who have to stand there fake crying when the latest dictator dies. This seems on a slightly lesser level but strange all the same. And for the record I’m a fan of queen (both HRH and the band!).

The Queens Funeral has obviously become a very emotive issue. I agree with your comment HTP, sometimes it can seem surreal. I watched people signing a book of Rememberance in the Local Shopping Centre and had exactly the same thought.

One women said to her partner,"I'm going to sign the book" and walked off. Her Partner shouted after her, "Don't forget to sign it from me and the baby" I wondered if he was being ironic, or not.

I’ve seen people say it was a tragic death. Sad yes, end of an era, an upsetting few weeks for her family but tragic?!

Completely unrelated but when you see environmentalists saying we are almost past the point of no return and must immediately cut our emissions and drastically reduce our travel....and then there’s millions getting coaches and trains down to London, people flying in from all over the globe.

On my social media a friend of mine has just done a 100 mile round trip in his 4.4 litre diesel Range Rover because he saw a tv mast way off in the distance all lit up in her majesty’s honour, and decided to drive there to pay his respects.

I hope people don’t go to the same lengths for my passing. If they do I’ll never talk to them again!
