Interesting you say packets and tracked way down, it dosnt fit with my delivery. I often find it odd when folk say easy day back early!! Appen management are using those offices to form an opinion of the whole businessSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 19:41Packets and Tracked are already way downPharox wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 17:17Fully agree, add a bunch of strike days in the Christmas pressure mix, and we will still be doing November's /December's mail well into January / February. The numbers coming through the MCs may be down but when there's far less people available to deliver the work it piles up at the DO

Well if they are doing away with rest weeks and other shift patterns a re-sign would have to happenfallenworld2022 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 20:45our office went through one of the new revisions august last year, when is the next revision? is it next year after whatever changes are implented? would that mean a resign again if they annualised hours i wonder

Sounds good to me.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 15:46Their own legal advice is that they cannot move start times later than 30 minutes without agreement.
The company is managed so poorly that they could make millions more if they used some common sense.
If they offered decent overtime rates and didn't treat us like dirt that I am sure more Posties would do overtime instead of them having to pay out extra for agency staff.
If they actually listened to posties and revised rounds correctly. We've got rounds that are too long and rounds that are too short. The longer rounds don't get completed a lot of the time so they have to pay someone overtime to clear what's left, meanwhile there are rounds that are too short where posties are walking out the door early. But they do nothing to fix this.
If you treat a postie well they'll do favours for you. If you treat a postie like dirt then they'll do no favours for you. They may even be inclined to leave, go off with stress....equating to more losses for the company in sick pay and/or new recruitment and training.

This has come from the Royal Mail BOARD? Blimey, you must be in the know.postslippete wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 18:01Dorset Plodder wrote: ↑16 Sep 2022, 16:33
Good News WG. This Management couldn't organise a Bun Fight in a Bakery. It's a shame they couldn't put as much money & effort into growing this business for the long term as they're willing to commit to trying to shaft their employees.

I look forward to some announcement that we can rely on, perhaps a joint statement from RM & CWU?![]()
Yes, its a shame that the RM board have resorted to this.
Because we know it could have all been so much different if management had stopped the dividend. The banks couldn't pay dividends for a year, airlines and holiday companies had to stop theirs and both BP and Shell halved theirs.
Honestly, the company would have had enough money to give each postie at least a 6% pay increase this year if they had just given away half of the dividend. But instead they wanted an unsustainable dividend to say that there's no money for a rise without the change that they always wanted.
What's this "change' - that "they always wanted" - btw?

Re: Revision Activity :Executive Action
Oh and you - sorry "they" - can stick 6% where the sun don't shine.
We're not after loads more money, we're not against change. But we will not accept needless assaults on on working lives - sick pay, compulsory overtime, Sundays etc
