So another day another lot of executive action from
Royal Mail. So we now have it confirmed that all Delivery office managers have been informed “TO STOP ALL ANNUAL LEAVE PICKS/ OR NOT TO START THEN FOR 2023/2024”.
The reason why is so the business can push ahead with moving all delivery staff to annualised hours
and this of course would effect annual leave picks. To be clear all annual leave should be picked and granted by no later than end of October. We think this is just effecting our delivery staff so far and we know this is a National steer from Royal Mail.
It’s an absolute disgrace and we urge every Rep/member to ask their line managers today for their annual forms to start the process and see what reply you get.
What are the CWU doing about this - it’s part of our terms and conditions dispute and we are taking industrial action 30/9 and 1/10. We have also raised this to our Divisional Reps to deal with and if necessary and Royal Mail don’t change their stance on this we will be speaking with members.
Just remember when Royal Mail are saying annualised hours this means coming off your current duty set and all delivery staff moving to a 1/6.
We must stay strong , strike in huge numbers on 30/9 and 1/10
