Can someone explain how those on delivery and early shifts having to lose yet again two days pay in one week 30th October and 1st September. ( Which I cannot afford) while lates and nights only losing 9ne days pay. Would it be better if it was Saturday/ Monday. Soften the pay packet a bit.
I can see this dispute going on for a long time

Perhaps the Saturday strike day is to favour those in processing that would have lost every single day of the strikes because they don't have days off during the week. A lot in delivery should have benefited from at least one day off... Me thinks?

Simon Thompson must be loving reading these comments with people whining about losing money, cancelling strikes etc. We are all in it together, some people may have fallen lucky with days off but it will even out over time. We all need to remember what we are fighting for here and it will be much much worse than losing a days pay if Royal Mail get their way. Think about the long term.

The 1st October date has likely been chosen as there is going to be national protests relating to cost of living.

When strike days are announced, expect to lose money on all of those days.
If you don't then you're a bit lucky, if you do, then it is what it is, a dispute with strike days.
