If its like face masks we will get them about a month after the funeralDorset Plodder wrote: ↑08 Sep 2022, 22:18This subject raises several points. The first is: WHY does your manager have your PRIVATE phone number?![]()
It seems that some people just give their PRIVATE number to anyone at the drop of a hat. I don't give my number to my Manager and then he can't phone me up in this type of situation.![]()
Secondly: IF ROYAL Mail wanted to show some RESPECT to the Queen they could have given us the day off with FULL PAY to show ours, and their, RESPECT in our own way! But oh no they're quite happy to play on the ROYAL angle, but it basically means bugger all to them.
I'd be interested to know if the Businesss intends to close, as a mark of RESPECT for the Queen's Funeral. If they don't I'll be taking it off anyway... just like tomorrow! If Simple Simon wants to do something useful rustle up some Black Armbands and get them issued PDQ like the facemasks were.![]()
ANNOUNCEMENT : ALL OF ROYAL MAIL'S EMPLOYMENT POLICIES (AGREEMENTS) AT A GLANCE (Updated 2021)... HERE

"As a mark of respect to the Queen, here is your rain-soaked Tesco clubcard leaflet Sir"
Utterly clueless CWU leadership.
Call off picketing, not the Strike ffs!
Ask yourself why aren't RM calling off operations "as a mark of respect"?!

Re: Strike Cancelled 9/9
People getting angry should take a minute to reflect, the strike can always be rescheduled for another day and this changes nothing in regards to the union's opposition to what RM are offering, the fight will still go on. They've not had much time to take this decision but rightly or wrongly have decided it would be a PR own goal to strike on a day of such momentous news. The big picture hasn't changed and the battle will be won by sticking together.

Rm management should have shut all offices tomorrow as a mark of respect for the queen we will never see a monarch reign for as long the CEO and his cronies are some of the most despicable people on this planet at the moment and the heads of the Union should hang their heads in shame it's disgusting what they have done no picket line would have been more respectful shame on you

People won't even be expecting ROYAL Mail to be working. It's more disrespectful to turn up and shove a pizza leaflet through their door.

I think it's slightly misleading to compare our strike to others that take place next week etc.
Ours had already begun.

Remember the praise we got off Charles during the pandemic
Think it was a letter or something
Becoming king he might use his power to get RM renationalised

Re: Strike Cancelled 9/9
I’m disappointed with the union for treating the members with such contempt as to call the strike off at very short notice. I appreciate that this is an event without precedent, but it’s not sufficient to call off the strike, especially without clear communication as to your options. Most people are getting calls and texts from managers telling them they’re at work tomorrow as if it’s gospel. For many staff, that is the only communication they will receive.
This is shambolic as usual from the CWU. And they’re fools if they think this well-intentioned gesture will win them any friends or support.
