No way we get 10% whatever happens .
Inflation will reduce at somepoint .
I'm out on strike until we get a decent deal with no strings despite not having much spare cash each month .
If we are not careful we will end up like the DPD driver I spoke to Sat who had a full van and 6 hrs of jogging / running up drives .

8% this yr with 5% next and no strings I'd be happy with .
Sundays ,loss of Sick pay , annualised hrs the big issues to avoid for me .
Duty holders Mon -Fri then newer staff with Sunday in contracts plus Reserves covering Sat parcels and SD

Im a cover person on a 4 day week with 9yrs seniority. We have full timers that have been there less than a year that are duty holders. So you think me working a sunday and a duty holder with much less seniority only working mon to fri? There would be uproar!!

Well I can’t remember Simon Thompson saying he wouldn’t talk to the CWU unless Blower was in the room, so I’m guessing a nobody in the scheme of things.

hewittinspain that is a very good point , cannot say that it would help your situation. Guess I'm just looking at my office where that's not an issue but for you I see exactly where you are coming from .Not great at all

I just don't see what the solution could be as so many would jump at Mon -Fri .

What a load of BS. Whoever that Shaun Blower is can't even spell deliveries correctly, so I wouldn't pay any attention to that.

Not to mention rolling strikes wouldn't work, they'll fill the gaps with agency staff.

It needs to be 2 day strikes every week until it's resolved.

Rolling strikes is the move, we can be in perpetual strike mode every week whilst only losing one day pay.

It’s our Ace we have as a network company that needs constant movement.

Most importantly it’s something the vast majority of members can sustain long term into Christmas.

This is where I really start to worry.
Great if we get a pay rise of 6% or more, even though the retail price index is running wild at something like 12%, but money isn't the biggest issue for me right now.
The biggest issue for me is conditions of work.
I've never known working conditions as bad as these here in Royal Mail.
I've never seen management in any firm I've worked for, hold their staff in such utter contempt.
Please, please, please, CWU...Don't allow this job to get any worse than it already is for us, if you improve our conditions at work by just one iota, great!
But, 99.9% of delivery staff from Lands End to John O' Groats, beg you not to allow Royal Mail to make our job more unbearable.

I find it really frustrating that we have no updates!! What exactly is going on? Surely the CWU can communicate to us the position as it stands? Or are they not allowed to do that? People need to know to keep the strike momentum going…..

The position as it stands was made clear by the letter Simon sent you this morning. There isn't anything else to tell although we may get more strike dates announced this afternoon.

What exactly is going on?
We're in dispute.
What will happen next?
We'll be on strike on Thursday and Friday.
What will happen after that?
Nobody knows but if you're thinking we're close to any kind of deal you're off your head.

I'm all for clear and open communication but this desperation to know every word spoken between both parties is taking things too far.

As far as I'm aware both Terry and Dave are touring the country meeting members, I think Dave is up in God's country tomorrow.

The PE are meeting in Birmingham tomorrow to discuss future strike dates.

There was a virtual call today of all Divisional Reps , PE and Branch’s Secretaries to listen to the feedback from Branch’s and Divisions.
