Saturday was beyond ridiculous.
Cut offs galore.
More of the same today, and backlog getting even bigger, if Royal Mail doesn't wise up.

Yeah Friday and Saturday were pretty horrendous. All packet sorting done but several Yorks of manual flats and letters left unsorted. Not paying overtime to stay out and complete just told to clear the tracked and specials and whatever else you have time to do. Loads of cut offs each day. Today looks like more of the same. I’ve been surprised just how big an impact the 2 strike days seem to have had.

Might be down to the timing the first 2 days after a Bank Holiday in Mail Centres are normally extremely busy then throw in the return to school and it's creating an eye in a storm. Then factor in the past when we had strikes there were around 80 Mail Centres now it's 37 and that's a lot less space to store the work until you get round to it. The fact most staff have very little goodwill towards Royal Mail and its management means whereas in the past people would push themselves that little bit harder to clear the backlog. Then throw in years of not replacing staff and well it's nearly the perfect storm that might well occur after a 2 day strike

Guessing the m/c was emptied today, was like a Wednesday. BUT we managed to clear the office with little o/t, so lets see whats in the pipeline tomorrow.

Interesting developement in my DO.
Unlike in the past, very few, if anyone, is doing overtime, we're all just too exhausted.
Today's workload that came in wasn't too bad, so backlog in office just about the same as yesterday.
Didn't go up, didn't go down, either.
