Our Mail Centre (sorry,I won’t name it) managed OK on Thursday and Friday. It was busy, but no worse than normal after a Bank Holiday. Both outward and inward were cleared. We have lost the Amazon contract over the strike season, so Tracked H&L figured are down.
Re Special Deliveries, we are getting sleeves from other MCs where Specials are mixed with normal and Tracked mail. Very hard to prioritise SDs when they aren’t segregated, and unfortunately not everyone knows what they are so they don’t always get pulled out.

Re: Bristol Mail Centre
I walked in to my MC yesterday afternoon to find that the morning shift had left 300 Yorks before we even started.
As for this about Amazon suspending the contract - no sign of that where I was. Dozens of Yorks full of their smaller stuff up to A4 + size, mostly ‘Delivered 24’ service.
Was not sorry to leave after 5 hours.

What was the situation like with empty yorks, sleeves and boxes for getting work areas set up?NW11851 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2022, 09:29I walked in to my MC yesterday afternoon to find that the morning shift had left 300 Yorks before we even started.

Re: Bristol Mail Centre
Bristol Mail Centre fails to clear 1st class, 5th and 6th September. Management moral at rock bottom. Different to disputes of the past when managers were quite pumped up. Loads of mail still lying around. I don't think anyone knows what it is. Managers unable to speak to us or eachother. Seen yorks marked Bristol residue for days on end now which no one is touching. New managers starting to get edgy for Thurs/Fri. New interim Mail Centre manager has massive new computer screen for zoom meetings taking up half of Eddys old room.

Re: Bristol Mail Centre
they posted the parcel 2 weeks ago special delivery , for some reason they keep going to the local callers office where they were told there's a delay up filton .
Surely not a 2 week back log of special deliveries though ? were still getting them come thru on delivery ok.

Re: Bristol Mail Centre
I have basically the same thing. Large heavy Special Delivery, dropped at Delivery Office on 2 Dec and tracked there, apparently left headed for Tyneside Mail Centre, never tracked after Delivery Office. Now 13 days, though obviously on strike yesterday and today and on two other days before that.
