Yeah, I think RM top brass need to have a good long hard look at themselves. Their rhetoric is fooling absolutely no one.

And what is this nonsense he keeps coming up with re: Peak
It's called Christmas you cock juggler. It has been called Christmas for hundreds of years so why does this self centered prat feel the need to invent some BS phrase for it. Very weird guy.

Managers crossing picket lines and telling staff it’s compulsory for them to do so?

My office was open today, no postal workers or agency staff went in, just a few managers. Can’t imagine they got much done.

We've got about 20 more in ours . Fair play to your solidarity. We couldn't quite match it. Had 2 cross over Friday and just one today.Zicomurphy wrote: ↑31 Aug 2022, 19:43About 150 OPG’s in our office. Not a single one attended for work on either strike day. We did have a couple of managers in delivering specials so they probably counted the office as “operational”. It’s just spin and BS.
Same as you, had 2 managers doing specials, so hardly "operational".
As you say, politician-like spin and bullshit.
We're hurting them, no mistake...it's whether our colleagues are ready to go the whole twelve rounds.
From what I saw today on our picket line, I reckon they are.
Simon...you and your "operational " managers....your "team" ...had better glove up....cos there's over 100,000 of us out here...and we ain't done yet...not by a country mile my old son...
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.

Backlog is going to be fun - was bad enough on Monday - not clearing it though - it can pile up - no floats either - so post won't be going out on our days off - so essentially we've taken part in a strike today - and Royal Mail will essentially strike themselves on our days off as there will be nobody to clear the mail - as they understaff us - doubly shot in the A$$ - we shoot them in da A$$ - then they shoot themselves in da A$$.
We strike just 4 days, when they themselves strike almost every single week by not employing floats to clear rounds on our days off.

Simon Thompson should man up to the situation .3.5% with peoples lives totally disrupted is not going to cut it.The normal procedure for stalemate is to get a 3rd party involved called arbitration. See what they think of the paltry deal.
