How would this crazy idea work in a mail centre where the reliant on agency staff to clear every single day of the year not just peak months? .It’s almost impossible to use odd leave days as it is unless there is a vacancy in your leave group.Another idea from from Royal Mail that might work in 10% of offices but the other 90% absolute chaos.

I honestly think they haven't even thought of other parts of the business, I doubt even Simon has thought how it will work in MCs or any of the back office roles.

For example, how does it work in CS? we don't really have quiet periods or times hours can be banked and it's been understaff (like every CS department is) for years.

Even now, which is the 'quiet period' for CS, the phones have massive daily queues and over Xmas you might have hundreds in the queue that just get cut off at the current end time, and the less said about the email queue over Xmas the better - last year for instance they mass closed the entire queue multiple times it got so big (tens of thousands of emails).

It feels like they want to force this onto deliveries and then they'll 'realise' its unworkable for every other unit and never extend it.

He's just got it into his thick head that the workforce is a problem to be solved, we're all lazy malingerers walking slowly and getting paid for loads of unworked hours. This is just his way of screwing us over.

It hasn't occured to him that the company is run by completely useless failures. Because he is one.

If it was 'its not so extreme to say you CAN deliver in the dark' that would mean he thinks we can

for example

Person A ''Its too extreme to say you cant deliver in the dark''

Person B ''No, its not too extreme to say you cant deliver in the dark''

Person B is saying we shouldnt be delivering in the dark, and thats what the caption says in the picture above

Fire and rehire would cost them hundreds of millions , if not billions for a variety of reasons.
