All you want to do is say 'the offer already on the table is the only offer'. That's not how it works - you need to come to us with a better offer as the one on the table is pathetic, an insult, ridiculous.

It's a waste of time if all you want to do is tell Dave and Terry that the status quo stands. We all know how much Royal Mail made last year. We all know how well you guys at the top have treated yourselves. If you didn't throw money down the drain on agency workers and treated your current work force with respect, maybe your costs would go down.

Both parties blaming the other for not attending offered talks FFS is this last minute brinkmanship? I think most of us just want everyone back around the table and sorting this mess out. There's so many scare stories going around it'd give a small child nightmares.

Does he think that it is OK to tear up the contracts with RM's energy providers and then fail to pay the increased energy costs because RM won't be able to pay dividends to their shareholders? If not, why on earth does he think that it is acceptable to do that with the employees of RM? He clearly, mistakenly, thinks that we give a s**t about RM. We only provide our labour to the business in exchange for pay and on terms agreed under our contracts.

The shareholders, when they invested in RM on privatisation, knew that it wasn't simply another parcels business but also had the onerous commitment to deliver letters under the USO. Arguing now that they are losing money on letters so we, the employees, should pay the price to provide a better return to investors is asinine thinking. The investors should have done their due diligence.

Mate that’s a great point, I’m using that on the public tomorrow, they knew we had letters / uso and now the burden’s being used to shaft us, the workers !
