Because as a member of thee most dedicated and loyal workforce that any company has ever seen ( genuine not sarcasm) you and I are being forced out because these attributes no longer matter. The 500 year history of royal mail has gone in favour of money..

Because we’re not worth 13% to them, they’d rather have a jeans and t shirt gig economy model like the competitors, so they’ll just go with what they can get away with. We’re currently going through that assessment process.

Not a good comparison, I’m sure BA staff took a 10% wage reduction during the pandemic to help keep the company afloat.

Go on WP and ask him, like many other questions that people actually want answered, like genuine concerns you won't get an answer.

And seeing as ST keeps banging on we got best T&Cs and best pay, I applied for UPS today starting rate £12.71 rising to £15.71 after 12 months.

I know someone who got a 20% pay rise in an unskilled job - picking and packing in a warehouse. Earns £27,000 a year.

The company was finding it hard to keep staff so decided to increase pay by 20%.

Those two examples above shows just how keen businesses are to keep turning their revenue over.

Perhaps that question could be best put to someone who used to be in charge of British Airways, Keith Williams, who is now the Executive Chairman of Royal Mail. He managed to resolve the cabin strike during his tenure.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Not according to Sky News who have been harping on all day that we have rejected a 5.5% payrise with no mention of strings attached or pie in the sky bonuses. Typical right wing press propoganda. All pissing in the same pot.

Years ago we got a packet of seeds at Christmas, yes yes it’s true some old timers will remember. Word on the street is we are getting more seeds to grow our own food to save going to the food bank. :nana
