RMPP & RMSPS statements due at end of September

Post by RobertT »

https://www.myroyalmail.com/news/2022/0 ... ons-update

Royal Mail Pension Plan members will receive a personalised annual benefit illustration at home by the end of September. It will show the benefits built up since April 2012. Capita will separately provide an update covering everything built up in the Royal Mail Statutory Pension Scheme before April 2012 and this should arrive around the same time. Members can combine the two to see the total benefits built up from both schemes.

Am I correct in thinking increase due to inflation is capped at 5% ?
Not great is it, when official figure is 10% and real figure for the likes of us is closer to 20%.

Was talking to a couple of posties this week and both said they were fed up with the job and couldn’t wait to retire. I think they were both early 60s, but looked older.

It’s no wonder people in their 50s are dropping out of the workforce as people have clearly had enough. What’s annoys me is the media always look at the economic effects of people not working, but never asks the question as to why people are choosing to drop out.
