NRA 65 Actual Figures

Hi all,

I promised to share my NRA 65 figures when they arrived and here they are. For information I have taken them 5 years and 5 months early.

Based on current health Im looking at taking option 2 £2820 per year and a lump sum of £19452 and a cash balance scheme amount of £24944
(£31181-20% tax = £24944

So total lump sum of £19452 + £24944 = £443,96

These figures are for RMPP pmly. Still waiting for RMSPSP figures.

Any thoughts please ???

Out of interest , how much was it without taking a lump sum ?

Hi,
I thought you could take 25% of cash balance tax free then pay 20% tax on the balance might be worth checking with pension department.

You can do as you thought Postie...

Your cash balance options are:

Take it as taxable cash - the first 25% tax free and the reaming 75% taxed.
Use it to buy an annuity
Transfer it to a different provider

Be a bloody site clearer if I could show you the pages...

Select 'attachments' to be found below the 'save draft, preview, submit buttons'.

Then 'add files'.

Thank you for the confirmation of cash balance options i am due to finish in Dec having completed 15 years service.In addition to the cash balance I have AVC,s to throw in the mix.

Your cash balance fund is a little down on mine. So i would expect your NRA65 to be a little down on mine also.Taking your NRA 65 early and getting £19452 lump sum. Would mean a £25000 lump sum if taken at term. No way your NRA65 lump sum would be so much for a pension of just 8 years.

Do you have added contributions ?

I have a copy of the paperwork sent via the throw away e mail address the figures quoted are correct. I have tried posting them on the site and keep getting an error code.Perhaps you could request copies another set of eyes on the figures would be really helpful.

Thank you postie2007 for confirming the figure and disappointed that Duran had basically in the previous called me a liar. Perhaps he is now man enough to apologise.

For info I was in Addplan for a few years not sure that affect this pension but it might.

Also due to inflation they are doing some kind of special enhancement for everybody until December 31st this year.

Still happy to provide the figures to anybody who would like them

Hawkey99 has sent me his details and I have to say, the quotes are higher than mine!
But you have to realise that everyone's RM pension benefits will be different based on their own wages, allowances, service, etc.

Ultimately, if you earn more than someone else, then your pension is likely to be bigger as well.
