Once this comes in, I don't think any DOs will get any SDs on their early runs any more, probably won't be enough sorted SDs to justify the space on a 600 when the same space taken by a part filled sleeve of SDs could be used for a full sleeve or york of Tracked
Could go back to a bag/bags for the earlier runs which can put on top of the Trays of Letters/Flats

Some of the early runs won't have enough items to justify even sending a bag, when there's only half a dozen items at most. I'd imagine there's a fair chance that night shift SD locker staff will start the SD locker part of their duties later, depending on what the arrival patterns are like

Given the move this week to cut CSP opening hours due to fewer people attending, caused in part by In flight/Safeplace/Delivery to neighbour etc and now the ceasing of international items going through the locker, those in locker positions may need to start dusting down their stormproof coats!

Less CSP opening hours, less SD's now than there used to be, international items ceasing, less kill offs to process due to falling volumes, PDA's now doing the work that locker staff used to have to do but no longer do i.e. confirming deliveries on the guns that were on delivery cards...

Still going to have SD Lumps which will be more than enough on a Monday and Thursday for a york each for the busier offices. The not starting in Locker til later is already happening at Greenford MC just means more of the staff out on Tracked for longer especially if all the Chinese Return C*** will be treated as Tracked from now on

I don't think any managers have been told about this yet, you'd think that they'd have told the relevant managers by now about a change like this which will have a big affect on the staffing for their work areas.

Or for those who work in the CSP due to health reasons, more likely prepare themselves for medical retirement.

Was this supposed to start today?
The locker handed me 4 "Special Deliveries" and 3 were from outside the UK.

We also still got them along with the real specials, perhaps they were sorted as specials yesterday, so we'll see what happens tomorrow in theory should come mixed in the parcel Yorks.

It must have gone live here as we only got given proper specials. As predicted nothing mentioned to anyone so whatever would have previously been rfd scanned wouldn’t have been.

If its gone live where you are, makes me wonder if many MCs will have effectively failed 1,000+ Tracked items for the last couple of days, either that or RM might be doing it by region

Anyone else had this go live yet in their area? I'm thinking that maybe RM are bringing it online 1 region at a time

Yep it's live in our area most of them are coming in with the Tracked but some are mixed in with the live and some in the SD Work. The Sunday Night SD Locker had a great night only 125 items so plenty of time to chill. Then last night got briefed that Sunday Day operation is to cease and all work and staff will be on Nights he might find it a tad busier in the future

The ones coming in with the SDs are probably the customs charge ones. Don't know if it's live yet locally, would have to ask the SD locker staff
