Pension Consultation

Post by badger1 »

Has Anyone wrote themselves concerning the pension changes?

I wrote the following

Dear Sir/madam,

Thank you for keeping me updated concerning the proposed changes to the pension scheme.
I do feel as though it has been a complete waste of time and money, lets be honest, your going to do it regardless of what we say! If every member wrote to you saying 'no' you would press ahead and we would be palmed off in a condescending letter with the usual overtones that you don't understand.

Ways to save money? Firstly get rid of the courier magazine, very few people read it and it is so biased towards management point of few that it is not taken seriously at all. Mine goes in the bin every month unwrapped.
Secondly get rid of the annual your say survey. No notice is taken, maybe I'm wrong and the thousands of angry responses you got demanding their pensions be cut prompted all this!
It may not be a huge saving but it's a start.
If you cannot fulfil your pension obligations you have promised us, a full refund of contributions should be offered, in the form of a personal cheque, not the option of transfer to a outside pension scheme. I can only guess this is another form of Royal Mails not trusting us.

I would guess you have had few responses about this, it's because everyone knows you will do what you want without a care for us or our wishes

Just wondered what anyone else had wrote

Perhaps it's just me, but in my opinion the consultation regarding the pensions will be the same as the ones regarding post office closures. RM will do exactly what they want and impose whatever they have already decided. End result, no pension and no post offices.

Well we could have taken IA until it was resolved. How many e mails does it take to safeguard your contract of employment?

they are only doing what they have been told to do by the government, there is a major pension reform being introduced in 2012 this is just to soften the blow and save the government more money.
i hear that the combined defecit of all the government pensions(civilservice, police firemen armed forces etc)is somewhere in the region of 2trillion so if it is tue you can imagine that they would be quite eager to reduce it,they know its going to be tough so they have started with the hardest lot first US,the strike etc has all been used as a smokescreen to hide what they are really up to.
how about that for a conspiracy theory?

I now firmly believe we now need a new system of government and now is the time it was once said in the state of boston america no taxation without representation!. I now say no representation and no taxation for we do not need fools to manage our lives and those less fortunate than ourselfs get rid of 650 skivers with goldplated pensions!.
